Artificial intelligence (AI) means a smart computer system like humans to solve complex problems. Machine learning (ML) is allowing machines to learn from available data so that they can give a precise output. AI is used almost everywhere in facial recognition, medical, online gaming, sports, automobile, insurance, airways, defence, government and private companies. Decision making on various attributes of our daily lives is being outsourced to artificial intelligence and machine-learning algorithms as they are motivated by speed and efficiency in the decision-making process. However, slowly, public and government are beginning to realise the dangers and complexity of programmes developed using AI and ML and the need for proper checks and balances in the way such programmes are used and developed. Therefore, it is important to take fairness into consideration while consuming the output from these programmes.

At this crossroads in history we should think very carefully about how to make this transition, or we risk empowering the grimmer side of our nature, rather than the brighter. Artificial intelligence and ethics: Facing the challenges for WA businesses
How does technology challenge WA businesses, and how can governance professionals proactively manage the risks? I work predominantly in the technology industry, and I can't afford to stay still. This is an industry that is continuously reinventing itself, and I've had to constantly re-educate myself to stay up to speed with every new development. Widening this scope and reflecting on WA's dominating industries, there has been a shift in from back-office technology (traditional IT) to more operational technology (OT). And the integration of IT and OT means technology is becoming an enterprise asset.

On March 18, 2018, at around 10 p.m., Elaine Herzberg was wheeling her bicycle across a street in Tempe, Arizona, when she was struck and killed by a self-driving car. Although there was a human operator behind the wheel, an autonomous system--artificial intelligence--was in full control. This incident, like others involving interactions between people and AI technologies, raises a host of ethical and proto-legal questions. What moral obligations did the system's programmers have to prevent their creation from taking a human life? And who was responsible for Herzberg's death? "Artificial intelligence" refers to systems that can be designed to take cues from their environment and, based on those inputs, proceed to solve problems, assess risks, make predictions, and take actions. In the era predating powerful computers and big data, such systems were programmed by humans and followed rules of human invention, but advances in technology have led to the development of new approaches.

Some Thoughts On Artificial intelligence And Ethics
Ethics has always been one of the most important subjects among scientists and philosophers. There are a lot of AI researchers discussed about the matter of AI Ethics, some have exaggerated ideas about the invasion of robots that ruin humanity and human life in future and some others have been more optimistic. There is no doubt that A.I has changed our life and how we operate in manufacturing, Industry 4.0, online security, healthcare and so on. Artificial Intelligence, machine learning and machine intelligence have had a great impact on invention of new technology within software design, quantum search engine and IT applications. As the prospects of real-time recognition for security purposes grows bolder, it has also engendered a lot of controversies. With this innovation currently being used on experimentally in actual operations by police of England and China, it becomes imperative to give a comprehensive analysis of the innovation.
